Greetings from the Gaia Festival!
We hope you all are having a good holiday season. Since our gathering last August we’ve been trying to come up with a way to move forward in our difficult financial times and after much thought and discussion, we’ve decided to take a year off. There have been many changes to the music festival scene over the last few decades since we started hosting festivals at Black Oak Ranch. When we began there were only a couple of festivals each year, mainly in California. Now there are many festivals throughout the US each season, especially in California, which has seen the advent of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Outside Lands, as well as numerous other festivals each summer.
We believe that the Gaia Festival offers a combination of activities that cannot be had elsewhere, so we will continue to make plans for a dynamic return sometime in the future. Until then, thanks for all of your support and we look forward to seeing everyone once again, sometime down the road.
In the meantime, try checking out the Kate Wolf Music Festival (also brought to you by Back Roads Productions, the same folks who brought you the Gaia Festival), at Black Oak Ranch, June 28-30, 2013.
